What we do
Counsel built for the complexity of leadership.
We work at the intersection of strategy, culture, and the practice of thought — in the space where most advisory stops and the real work begins.
Our services
Three ways we engage.
Executive Advisory
One-to-one counsel for leaders navigating consequential decisions.
The most important decisions a senior leader faces rarely fit the frameworks. They arrive at the intersection of strategy and self — where the stakes are real, the information is incomplete, and the pressure to act is constant.
Executive Advisory is a sustained, confidential relationship. We work with a small number of principals at a time, engaging at the level of the decision itself — not the presentation of it. Our role is to sharpen the quality of thinking before the quality of the plan.
Suited for
- CEOs and C-suite executives in transition or transformation
- Senior leaders navigating high-stakes decisions with incomplete information
- Executives who have outgrown conventional coaching or advisory
Organizational Alignment
Surface the hidden assumptions that prevent collective clarity.
Most leadership teams believe they are aligned. Most are not. The gap between stated agreement and actual shared understanding is where strategy quietly fails — not in the boardroom, but in the thousand small decisions made without a common frame.
Organizational Alignment engagements are designed to surface what is not being said: the competing assumptions, unspoken tensions, and inherited beliefs that shape behavior beneath the level of explicit strategy. We create the conditions for genuine alignment — not the performance of it.
Suited for
- Leadership teams preparing for strategic transformation
- Organizations experiencing persistent execution failures despite clear strategy
- Boards and executive teams navigating succession or structural change
Leadership Architecture
Design the systems through which leadership is practiced, not just performed.
Leadership is not a trait — it is a practice. And like any practice, it is shaped by the systems, structures, and cultures within which it occurs. Most organizations have invested heavily in developing individual leaders while leaving the architecture of leadership largely unexamined.
Leadership Architecture engagements address the organizational conditions that enable or constrain leadership at every level. We work with senior teams to design the structures, processes, and cultural norms through which leadership is exercised — and to identify where the current architecture is working against the strategy it is meant to serve.
Suited for
- Organizations scaling through growth or integration
- Companies redesigning their operating model or governance structure
- Leadership teams building for the next stage of organizational maturity
How we work
Rigorous. Confidential. Unhurried.
Every engagement begins the same way: with listening. We do not arrive with a methodology to apply. We arrive with a set of questions — and the patience to follow them wherever they lead.
Discovery
We begin by understanding the situation as it actually is — not as it has been presented. This means conversations with the principal and, where relevant, with others in the system. We are looking for the question beneath the question.
Diagnosis
Before recommending action, we invest in understanding. We surface the assumptions, beliefs, and dynamics that are shaping the current situation — and distinguish between the presenting problem and the underlying condition.
Engagement
The work itself varies by engagement type. For Executive Advisory, it is an ongoing relationship. For Organizational Alignment, it is a structured process with the leadership team. For Leadership Architecture, it is a design process with clear deliverables and milestones.
Integration
We do not hand over a report and disappear. We stay with the work through implementation — available for the moments when the plan meets reality and the thinking needs to adapt.
Engagement models
We work in the way that serves the work.
Retained Advisory
An ongoing relationship with a senior leader or leadership team. Typically structured as a monthly retainer with availability for time-sensitive conversations. Minimum engagement: six months.
Project Engagement
A defined scope of work with clear objectives and a fixed timeline. Suited to Organizational Alignment and Leadership Architecture mandates. Typically three to six months.
Intensive
A concentrated engagement — typically one to three days — designed to address a specific decision, transition, or inflection point. Available as a standalone or as the entry point to a longer relationship.
Every engagement begins with a conversation.
We work with a small number of clients at a time. If you are navigating a moment that demands more than conventional counsel, we would like to hear from you.
